NurseTV features Community’s own

This past May, NurseTV came to Fresno for three days looking for extraordinary nurses to film for its new television launch this fall.

Sharing their stories nationally are:

  • Kay Frye, critical care nurse at Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital
  • Sandra Hishida, clinical wound care nurse at Community Regional Medical Center’s Leon S. Peters Burn Center
  • Jane Ahrenberg, neurosurgery nurse at Community Regional’s neuroscience center of excellence.

NurseTV is the only Internet television network and nationally-syndicated television show devoted exclusively to nurses and nursing. Its programming is aimed at taking the viewer inside the often compelling and dramatic world of nursing.

This month Community Medical Centers nurses are featured in short segments online as a tease for NurseTV’s television launch in October.

The program will be shown on local television stations all over the country. This weekly 30-minute series recounts experiences of nurses saving and changing lives. It will give viewers an opportunity to experience what it’s like to be a nurse by showcasing the positive and inspirational stories of how nurses impact the lives of their patients.
