Lou Cook
They are at the patient’s side during the most joyous times in life such as the birth of a child. They are also there as the patient faces a serious illness, offering a smile and skilled hand when patients need it the most.

As a way to celebrate National Nurses Week (May 6 through 12), this is the fourth installment of a series of “Health Care Heroes” who describe their profession and why they chose it.

This week, meet registered nurse Lou Cook from Community Home Care Services. She enjoys being able to visit patients in the comfort of their own homes and she is equally as enthusiastic to encourage others to pursue the career path she has chosen.
