More than a year after launching MedWatchToday.com, Community Medical Centers’ news site, nearly 900 visitors participated in a recent online survey to help the Valley’s largest hospital system find out more about its audience.

Data gathered from the survey will be used to help MedWatch Today staff provide visitors with the types of news, video, photo, blog and other information they want most, while continuing to expand viewership of the Web site.
The majority of participants stated they visit MedWatch Today to either read a specific story (35.94%) or learn more about Valley health care (26.36%). Most of the respondents said they visit MedWatch Today quite often (27%) or have visited several times (36%), while 137 people were visiting for the first time. Web site viewers are most interested in stories about breakthroughs in medical technology (36%) and stories about specific medical conditions (32%).
MedWatch the television show, which airs on KSEE24 Saturdays at 6:30 p.m., received great reviews, with 19% of people saying they watch regularly and another 24% saying they’ve watched 5 to 10 times in the past six months – 33% have watched once or twice in the past six months.
